Get involved with UCM
We are a very small team and try to keep our overheads to a minimum so we can send as much as possible straight to Ukraine. We are greatly helped in this by volunteers who give up their time to support our work. Would you like to join us?
Volunteer roles
In the past we have taken volunteer teams on short-term trips to serve in Ukraine and we would love to do that again, but this isn’t currently possible due to the war. However as we wait for the conflict to end, there are other ways to get involved with our work:
Host us at your church/small group/youth group - we’d love to meet you and get connected with your church.
Share about UCM with your community - request a slot in your church service, school assembly or community group meeting and talk about UCM . We’ll provide all the materials, chat to you beforehand, and help you with what to say.
Organise a fundraising event such as a bake sale, car wash, or similar - a great way to serve your own community and raise money for UCM at the same time.
Link your church with a fellowship in Ukraine - develop a mutually beneficial relationship with one of our churches in the Cherkasy region (visit our Church Partnerships page ).
Offer your time - there are always things happening for which we could use extra hands and faces.
If you are interested in any of the above, or have other skills that you would like to offer us, please get in touch using the Contact form at the bottom of the page.
Through more than 30 years of serving with the churches in Ukraine, it is our joy and privilege to truly be embedded in these families. We want you to be a part of Nasha Simya - our family.
Every contribution makes a difference, but regular donations support the ongoing ministry of our family of churches as they take the Gospel to their communities. By becoming a monthly donor and joining Nasha Simya you can provide stability and a foundation from which these ministries can grow.
As part of Nasha Simya you will hear exclusively from our Ukrainian family members at times throughout the year.
Family (simya) is central to the functioning of life in Ukraine, with mulitple generations growing up under one roof. Families live together, serve together, pray together, grow together.
